I found myself doing the “just one more level” talk more than once! This looks to be a port from a console or mobile platform, hence the short levels. I find this game similar to “Defy Gravity” in that you can either repel or attract yourself to applicable parts/objects of the level to complete it. There is a very simple story of you waking up your robot friends by completing all the levels within them. Teaching of the game mechanics is done very well. It eases you into new concepts and obstacles. A quick tip may appear but the rest is on the player to discover how it works and improve from there. The first 4 zones range from easy to intermediate. I never felt like I couldn’t do a level and some required a good amount of thinking for a solution. The fifth zone, which is unlocked after you beat the other 4, is very difficult. I could only beat a handful of levels and ended up calling it quits at that point.I did glitch more than once and got stuck in a freefall animation while being on the ground. This forced me to restart the level. Luckily the levels are short so there’s not much frustration had.Pros+Buttery smooth 60fps+Scaled to 1440p nicely+Nice colorful visuals+Great learning curve and teaching of mechanics+Fun short levels+I actually wanted to collect the collectablesCons+Pressing “Y” to retry a level on my Xbox controller didn’t work+Got stuck in a freefall while on the ground more than once+Majority of the achievements are speedrun related+Controls could be tighter and more responsive (personal preference)While the $9.99 price seems high, it’s definitely a fun puzzle game to pick up if you enjoy the genre. I’d absolutely recommend it in a bundle or when on sale. 7/10 Good. Above average. A lovely little platformer with a fun traversal mechanic. It seemed simple at first, but each set of stages layers on additional mechanics that will test your mastery of the little robot. I liked that the stages for the first 4 robots are all rather quickly completed, as I was able to pop through a few here and there and have a nice time. The 5th set of stages are clearly designed with the intent of testing your skills in the harshest way possible. I have found them to be incredibly challenging, but not unfair - not something I could not have said had I jumped into them without the first 4 stages teaching me how to finesse the controls.. Too zoomed in to sight read.. Interesting mechanics, decent idea, not a fan of the execution. That being said I did play all the way through the game. But overall didn't enjoy the experience.. I really love platformers but for some reason I can not get into this one....it seems promising but I dislike using the magnets to get around...just not for me I guess.. This little indie game is totally a gem! I found out about it from someone who worked on the game. Getting used to changing polarities took a few minutes, but once I had it down I was zipping through without a care in the world! I loved it! Almost an exploration platformer, but I would 100% recommend it if you are a fan of platforming type games10/10. Magnetic by Nature is a very interesting and cool platformer that brings a lot to the genre. As much as I don't like platforming games, Magnetic by nature with its pretty and cute aesthetic and very cool gameplay concepts managed to grasp my attention and I would definitely recommend this game to anyone that likes platforming games as well as for those who want to get into this genre and starting with game would be a great idea.
